Blackburn Masonic Hall has been the home of Blackburn Masonic Club for over 85 years. It is a private members club for the Freemasons of Blackburn and the surrounding areas.
Our premises is on the prestigious conservation area of Richmond Terrace and has been owned by the Blackburn Masonic Hall Company Limited since 1924 when the Company was formed. The Club is run by a board of Directors who are chosen by the Lodges that meet in the building.
The day to day business of the Club is handled by the Company Secretary and Manager James Abbott who is a Freemason of 37 years experience. Before retirement he and his wife ran their own small business in Blackburn for over 30 years.
The Board of Directors is headed by the Chairman Philip Beaumont. He is a relatively new Mason of only ten years but he is very experienced in business having had his own bus and coach company.
The Deputy Chairman David Lightbown is an electrical engineer who runs his own consultancy. He is also Chairman of the House Committee and has the unenviable task of keeping the building in good order.
